
Mulligan Stew Players, Celtic fairy tradition, and the Louisville Irish Fest will come together for a weekend of Irish culture and performances of The Faery's Kiss.
Performances are to take place during the weekend of Irish Fest on the Bellarmine University campus, beginning on Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Two matinee shows will occur on Sept. 25 and 26 at 2 p.m. each day.
All performances of The Faery's Kiss will take place in the Cralle Theatre, located in Bellarmine University's Wyatt Hall. A map of the Bellarmine University campus, located at 2001 Newburg Road, can be found here.
Tickets for the Mulligan Stew Players performance of The Faery's Kiss are $7 for the Sept. 24 show, which will include Irish coffee and dessert with ticket purchase. The shows on Sept. 25 and 26 are $5 per person. More information on the show can be found at The Faery's Kiss website.
The Faery's Kiss featuring Thomas, in search of his familial roots, finding a strange house containing a powerful and troublesome fairy. While protecting a secret, the fairy creates havoc for Thomas and the people he brings to the house. Among the people brought to the house include a seductress and her supporter who want more than just to visit Thomas.
Anna Jo Paul directed the production which Bill Breuer created.
The Faery's Kiss is just one of the events to take place during the Louisville Irish Festival, which will take place throughout the Bellarmine University campus. Other indoor events include an Irish language lesson, a cultural exhibit, and Robert Tincher's program on the history of Irish Music, among other activities.
Heading outdoors, the Society for Creative Anachronism will perform as Irish warriors, a children's area, and a Sunday Mass. Various other vendors and exhibits will also be set up. More information on the Louisville Irish Fest can be found at this website.
