    Highlands, meet the Highlands.

Bellarmine University’s 37th annual Women's Council Designers’ Show House event will take place starting this weekend, September 11. This year’s featured properties are the Inverness Condominiums in the Cherokee Triangle.

The architects of Joseph & Joseph have taken their inspiration from Scotland to create three truly Highlands-style (the British version) homes from the 14-unit historic Highlands (the Louisville kind) building, the former Charles P. Moorman Home for Women at 966 Cherokee Rd. More than 30 participating designers will showcase their contributions across three luxury units with patently Scottish names such as Edinburgh, Perth and Aberdeen. The homes will be open for tours, with the designers on hand Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Lunch will be catered by Café Fraiche in the Tartan Café, and the on-site Highlands Marketplace will feature local vendors.

Show house and boutique hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m, with no admittance 30 minutes prior to closing each day. Café hours will be Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.

The show runs through September 26. All proceeds from the $15 tickets (available at the door) will benefit the Bellarmine Student Financial Aid Fund. Free valet parking will be available. For more information, call (502) 452-8105 or visit
