As part of the 2012 Series of Tours, Cave Hill Cemetery is offering a Twilight Tram Tour of its historic and beautiful grounds on Saturday, August 4, at 6:30 p.m. The two hour tour takes place on the cemetery’s rustic hay wagon and will be lead by tour guide Steve Wiser.
The Twilight Tram Tour will offer visitors a laid back, informative, and fun look at the history of the cemetery, as well as the topography, landscapes, lakes, the cave, monuments, and people of Cave Hill Cemetery.
The cost of the Twilight Tram Tour is $35 per person and all proceeds benefit the Cave Hill Heritage Foundation, and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The funding helps support efforts for monument restoration and educational offerings, among other things. The tour is limited to 20 people. To RSVP, please call 451-5630.
The 2012 Series of Tours includes five other types of tours throughout the year including a historical walking tour, horticultural tour, civil war tour, bird watching tour, and an art and artists tour.
