One of the hottest new places in town (you can read Louisville.com's review here) is hosting a benefit tonight for the employees of Sam's Tavern. We reported earlier this week that Sam's Tavern, a New Albany staple, was severely damaged by a fire on December 10 leaving 75 employees tragically without a job this holiday season. In his interview with WHAS 11, the owner of Sam's stated he was most worried about his employees.
El Camino, according to their facebook page, will be providing $7 Four Roses cocktails with all the proceeds donated, as well as a silent auction featuring two specialty bottles of Four Roses Bourbon, gift certificates from local restaurants and bars, jewelry donated by Koerbers Jewelers, pillows and horseshoe handle trays by Collective 27 and a private dinner with wine and cocktails served by the Executive Chef Brian Enyard of El Camino.
The silent auction is sponsored by Four Roses, Decca, Rye on Market, the Marriott Hotel downtown, Relax Renew Revise Massage Therapy, Koerber's Fine Jewelry and Collective 27. The event will take place from 5pm to 2am tonight, December 13, at El Camino, and the silent auction will end at 11pm.
