It was recently announced that Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame soul/funk/rock band Earth, Wind, & Fire will make Louisville a stop on their upcoming tour.

The band who was inducted into the Rock Hall in 2000, has won 8 Grammys, and managed to keep the groove going for over forty years.  They are legends and stalwarts of American music blending the better parts of R&B, Funk, and Rock n’ Roll into a soulful stew of good time party music.

The spring and summer trek starts with the band in Tucson, Arizona on April 24th and wraps up on June 6th in Charleston, South Carolina – and then in July Earth, Wind, & Fire will head back out on the road with classic rockers Chicago.

The Earth, Wind, & Fire musical carnival will stop here in Louisville on May 29th at The Palace Theater.  Tickets go on-sale this Friday, March 20th at 10:00 AM.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
