    Dr. Seuss characters take over the Hayswood Theatre stage in Seussical the Musical, which opens Friday.

    Seussical the Musical will take place on July 12, 13, 19, 26, and 27 at 8 p.m. each night.  Matinees will happen on July 14, 20, and 21 at 2 p.m. each day.  A show on July 28 at 7 p.m. All performances are to go on at Hayswood Theatre, located at 115 S Capitol Ave. in Corydon, IN.

    Tickets for each show are $14 for adults, $10 for children under 18 and $12 for senior citizens.  Advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling the Harrison County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 812-738-2138.  

    Seussical the Musical features many of the lovable and charming Dr. Seuss characters to life on the Hayswood stage.  That includes Horton the Elephant, who must deal with two dilemmas: protecting the citizens of Whoville, including his friend JoJo, and guarding an egg Mayzie Bird abandoned.  

    Enjoy the musical adventure from Lynn Aherns and Stephen Flaherty, who created the production, and Rita Hight, who directed for Hayswood.  The cast includes Chris Meier as Horton, Kobi Mills as JoJo, Laura Van Fossen as Mayzie, and Andrew Moore as the Cat in the Hat.
