You’ve heard of Lollapalooza, but Doulapalooza takes you back—way back. Like back to the very beginning.
This coming Sunday, September 26, the 6th annual Doulapalooza will take place in Cherokee Triangle’s Willow Park. Hosted by Birth Care Network’s doulas—coaches who support laboring women—Doulapalooza “rocks the cradle for childbirth advocacy” through a picnic, family activities, live music and information for women looking for that extra encouragement during the birth process and beyond as they bring up their families.
Featured performers at the gazebo include openers Louisville Steel Leopards Percussion Ensemble, Troubadours of Divine Bliss, The Sirens, Katie Toupin & Matt Meyers and more, closing with Leigh Ann Yost’s songs (and spirit) of Tim Krekel.
Doulapalooza will run from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Although the all-ages event is free and open to the public, a suggested donation of $5 is appreciated. For more information, call 499-4418.
