The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kentucky-Southeast Indiana Chapter will present the 5th annual Walk MS Kick-Off and Donut Challenge this Saturday, March 14 at 9am. The event features Krispy Kreme Donuts creations that will be judged and it all goes to a great cause.

Donut building competitors wait for this challenge all year long, and it's finally here. This weekend the kick off will be hosted at the PLAY Lounge beginning at 9am. Several teams compete, using their sculpting techniques to create monuments, buildings, and many other makeshift objects. All creations are constructed out of those yummy tasty treats, Krispy Kreme donuts. They will be judged by various members of the media, local television personalities, dignitaries, and MS friends & members. I have been asked to be a judge, and I hope to see you there!

The event is free and open to the public; in fact everyone is encouraged to come check it all out and learn more about multiple sclerosis and how you can get involved locally and help the organization. You can meet new people and make new friends, and sign up for WALK MS. Stacy Funk, MS Society Local Chapter President is so excited about this annual event in Louisville. “It’s impossible not to bond while building a sculpture made out of Krispy Kreme donuts!  Skeptics who attend always leave as our biggest promoters of this event because there is nothing else like it in town.” A free pancake breakfast and coffee will be provided.

The event benefits the Kentucky Southeast Indiana Chapter of the National MS Society. Proceeds benefit programs, services, and research. It runs from 9am-12pm with the contest beginning at 10am. PLAY Lounge is located at 1101 East Washington Street.
