If you decide to hop on the trolley tonight, be sure to stop in Kore Gallery at Mellwood Art Center. THe gallery was formed by four artists who originally used the space just for trolley hops. They now run a full time gallery out of the space.

It is a very colorful place, and the bright cheery attitudes of the artists involved at the gallery match the colorful art and painted walls. Media at the gallery includes polymer clay, wood, acrylics, oils and jewelry. You don't have to be rich to support the creativity, either. They have small items like vases and packs of beautiful notecards starting at $15.

The gallery features work by the following owner/artists: Debra D. Stanley creates unique and beautiful pieces made from polymer clay including sculptures, "clay paintings", and vases. Spike Art adds a bit of whimsy to the gallery with painted wood cut outs and canvasses. Uneena Jackson features her beautiful artistic jewelry, and resident artist Donald Cartwright creates and showcases his abstract paintings in the space.

You can find the gallery in studio A-117 at Mellwood Art Center and "like" them on Facebook. They also have rotating visiting artists each month, so there's always something new to see. If you can't' make it for the Trolley Hop, you can stop in during their hours of operation, which are Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.; or Sunday 1p.m. to 4 p.m.They are also open for the F.A.T Trolley Hops which occur the fourth Friday of every month from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
