Fandom Fest is this weekend! There will be celebrities, panels, and events, but what else? Here’s a list of just about everything else going on at Fandom Fest.

    5. Food

Last weekend at the Fandom Fest volunteer meeting, it was announced that 3rd Street at the Kentucky International Convention Center would be closed and blocked off for a food court. If you’ve been to the KICC for a convention before, you know that it is very hard to find food in the area. Panera Bread and Starbucks have ridiculously limited hours, and Qdoba and Smashburger are open only slightly longer. This food court will provide a place to sit and eat that’s so close to the con you won’t miss a thing!

    4. Gaming

An entire hall at Fandom Fest is dedicated gaming of all sorts. There will be board gaming, video gaming, card gaming, and so much more. Entry fees and times are listed on the schedule.

    3. Fright Night Film Fest of Horror

If you like Horror films, Fandom Fest is for you! Horror films from all over the world will be shown this weekend. The US, the UK, Canada, Austria, Australia, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, Turkey, and France will be represented at the Fright Night Film Fest. Times and descriptions of the films are on the schedule.

    2. Artists and Authors

Featured artists include Nathan Milliner, Angel Medina, Geoffrey Gwin, and Rob E. Brown along with so many others in the artist alley. Featured authors include A.E. McCullough, Addie J. King, J.H. Glaze, Jettie Necole, Dennis McDonald, Mysti Parker, JoAnn Padgett, Robert Midgett, Briana Lawrence, and Jessica Walsh.

    1. Vendors

The vendor hall is the place to buy all your geek gear. From hand made oddities to mass-produced trinkets, there’s something for everyone here.

For more information, download the Fandom Fest schedule or app. Links are available at www.fandomfest.com. You can also “like” Fandom Fest on Facebook or follow it on Twitter. Keep checking Louisville.com for pictures, reviews, and summaries of all the fun throughout the weekend!
