    Dog Friendly

Having a dog is the best. Don’t you wish you could take your pooch everywhere? There are plenty of great parks to take your sidekick to (I suggest Cherokee or Central—so many squirrels!), but what about restaurants? Here’s a list of some of Louisville’s best dog friendly businesses to check out in the pretty weather.

    Sunergos Coffee Preston Highway

This dog friendly coffee shop keeps a jar of treats on hand for your pup! There is a great area around back to enjoy an excellent espresso (best in the country, in fact) while your dog relaxes and munches on some treats.

    Dairy Kastle Eastern Parkway

This walk-up ice cream heaven is the perfect place for your pooch. A water bowl is always left out for them, and they even offer a dog sundae! Take a night to cool off at DK with your best friend by your side, they will definitely thank you (probably in kisses!)

    Molly Malone’s Bardstown Road

Molly’s is a good place to grab a beer and be with friends, human or canine. While you can’t bring your loved one inside, your server will still bring them a water bowl!

    Nachbar Germantown

This full bar is great for well-behaved dogs because they’re allowed inside. You’ll get a more relaxed environment and a better selection than Molly’s, but no food—although the large back patio probably makes up for that. It’s a great place to be to grab a nice craft beer with your pup by your side.

    Old Town Bardstown Road

While this isn’t technically a restaurant, you still have to get beer, right? Bring your dog right on inside with you when you’re out on your weekly bourbon run. The staff is really friendly, and the selection is incredible.

While these are certainly not the only places to take your dog, it’s a good place to start! Can you think of a great restaurant that isn’t listed? Let us know! If you don’t have a cute pup yet, check out the adorable dogs up for adoption at Hand-In-Paw Rescue!
