    Bit to Do

Divinity Rose signing copies of "Snot, Bots, and Other Thoughts" at Reader's Cor

I will be at A Reader's Corner Bookstore tonight, Friday, December 28, to sign copies of Snot, Bots, and Other Thoughts, which was released under my pen name Divinity Rose. The bookstore is right on the Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop (F.A.T.), and I will be there from 6:30 - 8:30 to hand out free goodie bags and signed purchased copies.

The book is a humorous collection of uplifting and silly poems for children and their families. Adults and children giggle together at the simple black/white illustrations and puns while they are reminded of Shel Silverstein's work. Paper copies are available at Reader's Corner, The Great Escape, Carmichael's bookstore and Matt Anthony's record shop or at www.divinityrose.com for $10, although A Reader's Corner has the books marked $7.99 for the event. The digital E-book of Snot, Bots, and Other Thoughts can be purchased for $3.99 on Amazon.com, where reviewers have left comments about how uplifting the book is. You do not have to have a kindle; it can be read on your computer.

One reviewer left the comment, "This book is fun and cute. I love reading it on a stressful day....cleans my brain out!"

A Reader's Corner Bookstore is at 2044 Frankfort Avenue, just across from Nancy's Bagels and Osaka Sushi Bar.

    A few of the rhymes:

"Life's possibilities are endless and hanging in the air for you to be forever happy, if you will only dream to dare."

“Put a flower pot on your head, and it becomes a hat. If it’s on the other end, you should have watched where you sat.”

“Since we say things like ‘It’s made of cheese when the full moon is out, do you think on the moon they’d say ‘The earth is made of Sauerkraut?’”

“Don’t ever pick your nose. That’s what they’ve always said, but I had to reassess this rule as questions went ‘round my head. I realized that as our fingers grow, our two nostrils do as well – always the right size to accommodate, at least as far as I can tell.”
