Tomorrow (Thursday) at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Art's MeX Theatre (501. W Main St), we Kentuckians won’t want to miss the Louisville staging of “Welcome to the Saudi Arabia of Coal,” a theatre performance put on by the Coal Free Future Project.
This motivated troupe of four multi-talented “Renaissance” men and women banded together after the Copenhagen Climate Summit to do their part in the growing international effort to help put an end to America’s immensely dangerous and destructive coal dependence and find a betterway to fuel our world (and Kentucky’s economy).
The show, starting at 8 pm, was written by award-winning
writer/actor/activist Jeff Biggers, and is described on the Project’s
website as, “an original and groundbreaking multimedia production that brings a national audience into the frontlines of the coalfields and
mountaintop removal issue today.”
Even the most impecunious Louisvillians can afford to attend this FREE production—perhaps, we can’t afford not to?
