    Bit to Do

Last night I was fortunate enough to nab tickets to the 8:00pm showing of Catching Fire at Tinseltown. As we walked into the theater we were surprised--there was no line, the theater was half empty, and while everyone was very excited to watch Louisville's own Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, there wasn't the frothing crowd I expected. But when we exited the theater after the movie (it was AMAZING. Stay tuned for Louisville.com's review on Monday) this is the sight that greeted us:

Yes, those people were all in line for the midnight showing of Catching Fire! And so were all these people:

There were a few incredibly good costumes, including this ultra-cute Effie Trinket:

    She was fabulous.

This lovely lady went as a Capitol citizen, complete with ultra sparkly dress and eye makeup:

And my personal favorite costume was this young lady, as Katniss in her wedding dress mid-transformation:

For those of you who haven't seen the movie or the trailer, Katniss wears a wedding gown that catches on fire when she twirls:

For the next midnight premier, I'm going to dress up as Haymitch Abernathy (Katniss's ever-drunk mentor). So basically I'm going to bring a bottle of whiskey to the theater and pretend it's part of my costume.
