With autumn sliding into our forecast later this month, we only have a few more weeks left of summer. Don’t let the upcoming holiday weekend get wasted away on Netflix and microwaved cuisine (you have all of fall for that). Go out and soak up those last few summertime rays of sunshine at 8UP’s Labor Day celebration!
This Labor Day, one of Louisville’s most beautifully creative restaurants, 8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen, is celebrating the summer’s last hoorah with a very special holiday event. With the theme of a classic backyard barbecue in mind, 8UP will be dishing out some of its very own delicious barbecue roasted chicken and pulled pork along with a few favorite summertime cook-out staples including corn on the cob, potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw.
And those who have already feasted on barbecued cuisine all summer long are not to worry. A variety of the restaurant’s famously scrumptious wood oven pizzas will also be available on the menu along with a list of special red, white and blue cocktails! Yum!
After the main course, the masterminds behind 8UP’s menu will be offering a selection of tasty frozen treats for dessert. Guests can count on inventive popsicles and traditionally delectable snow cones, some of which will be for adults only.
And did I mention that all of this will be served on the city’s only rooftop bar in the heart of downtown Louisville? How’s that for an end-of-summer celebration!
8UP’s Labor Day celebration will be held on Sunday, September 6 and Monday, September 7.
The restaurant that has been offering the best view of the sunset in town since opening in fall of last year, 8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen, is located on the roof of downtown Louisville’s Hilton Garden Inn at 350 West Chestnut Street. It is open for breakfast and dinner seven days a week.
