Henry’s Ark is a favorite amongst families around the Louisville area. Surprisingly, I’ve lived in Louisville for a long time and have actually never been there. I don’t know how I missed this gem! Well, now I and many others have a golden opportunity to check out this kid-favorite petting zoo located in Prospect off U.S. 42.
On Thursday, April 25 from 4-5:30pm, Louisville Family Fun is hosting a CASH MOB to benefit the animals and the work that is done at this place. They operate on a very minimal budget, so a CASH MOB will greatly benefit the work they do. Louisville Family Fun wants YOU to be there to mob them and show your love and support financially. I’ve seen the love on their Facebook page; I know parents, grandparents, children, even people who visit from out of town adore this place and all of the animals. Come out and support them at this cash mob!
Louisville Family Fun will be present at the entrance to Henry’s Ark. You and your family can come by any time during the 1 ½ hours and Louisville Family Fun will give your kids carrots to feed the animals; they ask that you donate $10 per family to such a worthy endeavor. Of course, Louisville Family Fun is known for never being anywhere empty handed! They will have some great prizes and freebies to give out as a thank you along with your donation. You could win a gift basket full of goodies from EarthFare Louisville!
In addition, Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory will be participating by giving 20% of their sales between 3pm-9pm directly to Henry’s Ark. They are located right down the road from Henry’s Ark on US Hwy 42.

About Henry’s Ark: It is a community based effort of helping out rescued animals that live on the farm. They have an eclectic menagerie that includes camels, llamas, sheep, bison, yaks, goats, peacocks, zebras, emus, waterfowl, buffalo and more. It is visitor supported and free to the public. The hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm year-round. They like to remind folks that no bread or cereal can be fed to the animals as it causes them sickness. Any fruits or vegetables are suitable; the animals are partial to carrots but also like apples, lettuce, and grapes.
