    Bit to Do

Bourbon Women Speakeasy Coming to the Evan Williams Experience

If you haven’t yet heard of the Bourbon Women, you should do your homework.  This organization started in 2011 with an event that celebrated everything that Kentucky Bourbon has to offer.  Since then they have hosted several bourbon events.  Among the events was the “Any way she likes it” event at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, hosted by Master Taster Peggy Noe Stevens, the “Mixing at the Mansion” event held at the Governor’s Mansion, and the Buffalo Trace Ghost Tour, just to name a few.  These events are always well-attended and unique.

Now they’re hosting a new event in Louisville in just a few weeks.  This event will take place Thursday, March 20 from 6-8 p.m. at the new Evan Williams Experience on Main Street.  The night will feature a Roaring 20s theme.  Think: Great Gatsby and Downton Abbey.

Guests will receive a secret passcode that will get them into a speakeasy-style lounge.  Once inside they will be able to partake in bourbon tastings led by director of guest services Lynne Grant.  Then they will have the opportunity to chat with Evan Williams’ Artisanal Distiller Charlie Downs.

This event looks like a lot of fun.  If you know of any other bourbon-related events around town, Tweet me @LouGirl502.
