The Bon Air Library (Louisville Free Public Library) will be closed all this week starting today, Monday, January 12 through Friday, January 16. The library is receiving some much needed improvements, upgrades, and renovations to the building. The improvements include new flooring and furnishings, new service points to better serve the public, a new self-checkout, and two glass-enclosed study rooms.

The Library suggests that patrons visit the Highlands/Shelby Park branch, Newburg branch, or St. Matthews branch during construction. Patrons can return library materials in the book drops at Bon Air Library; they will remain open all week during the renovations. For more information, call 502-574-1795 or visit the website at www.lfpl.org.

The Bon Air Library will reopen to the public on Saturday, January 17 at 9am.

Longtime Louisvillian, I am a children's librarian at heart and have a passion for children's lit. I am most recently a stay-at-home mom who is always on the move, searching for family fun in Louisville. If it's free, it's preferable!
