When I think of summertime, I always imagine barbecues, live bands performing outside as I stand with my toes in the grass, and ice cold brews. Well, did you know that there is a festival that has all of this? It's known as the Four Roses Bourbon Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival. This event is said to be "the only family friendly blues event offered in eastern Jefferson County." There is a variety of good eats from local and regional barbecue restaurants, including Rob-a-Que, The Q, and Adam's Ribs. Attendees can sample chicken, ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, roasted corn, and so much more! This festival will supply the napkins, and it is also encouraged to have no worries about eating properly, but rather "eat with your hands and wipe your mouth later."
There is also a great lineup of blues musicians over the weekend:

Sylvia Walters and Groove City - 5:30 - 6:45 p.m.
Stella Vees - 7 - 9 p.m.
Mississippi Heat - 9:30 - 11:30 p.m.

Additionally, there is a brews tasting area, a kids entertainment area from the Courier-Journal, and free parking. It has been said that no food, drink, or pets are allowed. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome! The cost is $10 before 6 p.m., and $14 afterwards. Kids that are ten and under are free. The festival is located at the Louisville Water Tower on 3005 River Road, and it will run on July 11th from 5 - 11:30 p.m., July 12th from 4 - 11:30 p.m., and July 13th from 1 - 7 p.m. I hope you're looking forward to some finger lickin' barbecue, blues tunes, and a cold brew because I know that I am!
