KaLightoscope Christmas, held at the Galt House Hotel, is now selling discounted tickets for $10 through Jan. 3.

According to recent press release from KaLightoscope, the discounted tickets are to say “thanks for a great first year.”

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 29th is Blessings in a Backpack Day and $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to KaLightoscope Christmas charitable partner, Blessings in a Backpack.

The charity’s goal is to make sure children are able to attend school on a full stomach. Blessings in a Backpack ‘s aim to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federal free and reduced meal program, and may not have any or enough food on the weekend.

According to the press release, every Friday, kids in schools that participate in Blessings in a Backpack program get a backpack filled with easy-to-prepare and ready-to-eat food. On Monday, kids return the backpacks and are ready to focus on learning and not their next meal.
