This is a city that loves a music festival – from Forecastle to Louder Than Life, Abbey Road on the River to Blues and Brews – we love spending a weekend with a full roster of our favorite bands, surrounded by thousands of our closest friends, and the best food trucks the city has to offer.
This week we have the latest installment in Louisville’s music festival season when Befuddled Fest kicks off this Saturday at The Rustic Frog. Being billed as “The Most Bizarre Concert Party on Earth,” it’s going to be a kick ass, hard rockin’ throw down with one of the wildest and most eclectic line-ups any local festival has had all year.
First of all the show is going to be hosted by the one and only Pauly Shore – with a musical rotation that line-up that is going to have Puddle of Mudd, GWAR, Afroman, Andrew WK, Green Jelly, Warrant, KISS Army (The World’s greatest KISS tribute band); as well as, Hulk Hogan’s M.C.W. Micro Championship Wrestling as well as some mud wrestling with the beautiful dancers of The Rustic Frog.
While this most certainly not a music festival for the whole family, it does promise to be a good time – with one of the wildest lineups this city has seen in recent memories. Sometimes it takes breaking outside of the box, and redefining the image of what one might consider a typical music festival so we can just cut loose for a day and have a good time.
The party starts September 5th-6th at The Rustic Frog, 1720 Old River Road in New Albany. The show will start at 1 p.m. and will go on well into the wee hours of the night. Tickets are still available and they can be purchased online.
