Kentucky Waterways Alliance is not only working to protect and restore Kentucky's waterways, but they are also hosting the 3rd annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival this Saturday, March 5th at the Clifton Center.
The wild night will begin with a members only reception that begins at 7 p.m and includes food by Wiltshire on Market, and drinks by Kentucky Ale and River Bend Winery. The show begins at 8 p.m. with WFPK's Kyle Meredith as emcee to lead the audience into a lineup that is packed with environmentally conscious, inspiring films. Filmmaker and paddling enthusiast, Brandon Jett will be there to talk about his film and his love for Kentucky's waterways. Check out the clip by the Bloom Media Elementary club.
You can see the full lineup and find out more details here on the KWA website.
Tickets are $10. For only $20 you can get a ticket, a year long membership to KWA, and access to the membership only reception room (includes free food and drink). You can buy tickets online or buy them at the door.
KWA is the only statewide organization working full time on water issues and this film festival is a way to raise awareness about the issues they work on locally. Support their work and have a WILD time doing it!
