Secure your tickets before January 20 for the Kentucky Science Center’s annual fundraiser gala. This year’s event is Science with a Twist. Leave the kids at home!

“Science is and should be exciting, interactive, and accessible for everyone. Through the lens of play, we've crafted a uniquely fun, adults-only evening of celebrating, recognizing, and advancing science literacy,” said Science Center Executive Director Joanna Haas.

On January 31, from 7 p.m. to midnight, the Science Center will be transformed into a play area for adults only. Activities will range from making bubble gum slingshots, to racing Maker remote-control cars, to playing Pac-Man on the four-story screen, to the LEGO Lounge. Signature cocktails by presenter Brown-Forman will be featured at the full bar and playful hors d’oeuvres by Horseshoe Southern Indiana will circulate.

Three Ambassadors of Science Literacy will be honored at the top of the evening at the Power Hour Awards Reception.

Tickets are available at different levels for individuals and tables of 10. A $100 individual ticket includes the main event, hors d’oeuvres and the full service bar; the $250 individual ticket also includes the Power Hour Reception. A portion of each ticket is tax deductible. Funds raised at the event support the Kentucky Science Center’s mission: encouraging people of all ages to do Science in engaging, educational, and entertaining ways to inspire a lifetime of learning.

Cocktail attire is suggested; sneakers are welcomed. This event is 21 and over only. Call 502-561-6146 or visit KYsciencecenter.org to reserve tickets for the gala. You can check out the Facebook event page here
