    2015 Kentucky Bourbon Festival Happening Soon

    The Kentucky Bourbon Festival is fast approaching.  This is the largest celebration of Kentucky’s Native Spirit anywhere, spanning 5 days from September 15-20.  There are multiple events each day, from a daily VIP Bourbon Loft experience to the Great Kentucky Bourbon Tasting and Gala on Saturday night.  This event is attended by Master Distillers and brand ambassadors from distilleries and brands throughout the state of Kentucky, as well as hordes of bourbon lovers.

    Notable events:

    -September 15th The Evolution of Bourbon through Bluegrass music with Whiskey Professor Bernie Lubbers and Hickory Vaught

    -September 16th Kentucky Bourbon All-Star Sampler featuring Master Distillers and brand ambassadors from all KDA distilleries and brands 

    -September 18th Bourbon, Cigars, and Jazz (Sold Out) 

    -September 19th 11a-2p World Championship Bourbon Barrel Relay 

    -September 19th 2-4 Master Distiller’s Auction at the Oscar Getz Whiskey History Museum. Rare and autographed bottles and bourbon memorabilia on the auction block. Free admission, donations encouraged. 

    -September 19th 6:30 p.m. The Great Kentucky Bourbon Tasting and Gala.  This is the Bourbon Festival’s signature black-tie event, complete with bourbon tastings and gourmet food. 

    -September 19-20, 2 p.m. Bootleggers and Bushwhackers Train Robbery at the Kentucky Railway Museum 

    There are many other events, some of which are free to enter.  Several of the daytime events are family-friendly.  See the Kentucky Bourbon Festival website for more details about these events.  Whether you are newly bourbon-curious or whether you have been a lifelong lover of bourbon, this is the event you will want to attend.  There are many different ways to enjoy the bourbon festival and there’s still plenty of time to purchase tickets!
