Bourbon has never gone out of style, but the popularity of this Kentucky drink is on the rise.
Woodford Reserve bourbon and Esquire Magazine are inviting bourbon fans to submit their best recipe for the Manhattan, a cocktail made up of vermouth, bitters and bourbon, as part of a "Craft the Ultimate Manhattan" contest.
Folks can enter the the competition now through Nov. 30 at www.wellcraftedmanhattan.com. Obviously, Woodford Reserve must be the main ingredient of the cocktail. Entries will be judged on taste, name, ingredients, creativity and presentations. And to celebrate finding the perfect Manhattan, Woodford Reserve and Esquire will send the winner of the contest to Manhattan.
The contest also includes a series of Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience bartender exhibitions, one of which will take place on Nov. 15 in Versailles, Ky., home of Woodford Reserve Distillery. Five finalists in every exhibition city will be chosen before each event from recipes submitted online. Other exhibitions will take place in New York City, Jersey City, Seattle and Houston.
