Why have vocals when my guitar can tell the story? That's probably the question Will Wilder asked himself when creating the music for his band Wilder Stallions.
The instrumental group is about to release their debut album and have shared the last track before the album. "Southern Belle" is another great instance of how music can be composed down to every detail to create a sound so specific to a composer's design. Each song so far that Wilder Stallions has shared feels like it's coming from different region or decade because the four guys in this band playing guitar, bass, drums, and keys know their instrument so well they can manipulate them in to many sounds.
"Southern Belle" reaches back to '70s rock perhaps like Joe Cocker and The Band. The addition of horns in this number gives it a celebratory/encore style feel. Hopefully they are able to recreate it live. It's tight and the guitar work is simply great--an overall smooth song.
