    Gridiron Glory at the Frazier History Museum

    This Father’s Day weekend, treat your dad to Gridiron Glory, the Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Covering more than 5,000 square feet, Gridiron Glory is the most extensive exhibition ever built about America’s most popular sport. The Pro Football Hall of Fame has lent 200 of its rarest artifacts to the exhibition, including the Vince Lombardi Super Bowl Trophy, legendary football gear, photos and documents. Exclusive video footage from NFL Films and a series of interactive displays tackle everything from football’s cultural impact to the science behind the game. This groundbreaking exhibition puts visitors of all ages in the game alongside football’s greatest pioneers, players and coaches.

    There’s something for every fan, every family, every father this weekend!

    Lyndon Summer Festival

    The Lyndon Summer Festival is brought to you by Lou-E (Louisville Economic Chamber of Commerce) and the City of Lyndon. The Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14 at Robsion Park behind Lyndon Post Office. There will be a Zambelli Fireworks Finale presented by the City of Lyndon, arts, crafts, business booths, great kids activities, pony rides, petting zoos, live entertainment, health and wellness displays, great food, and a beer garden! There will also be a huge charity raffle to benefit the Kentucky Humane Society.

    #BringBackOurGirls Rally on Fourth Street

    On April 15th, 230 schoolgirls were kidnapped from the Chibok Government Secondary School by Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria. All 230 are still missing. To help push for intervention and a stronger effort to find these kidnapped children, don't miss the Bring Back Our Girls rally this Thursday, held on South Fourth Street in the heart of Louisville.

    Vintage Trouble at Zanzabar

    Red Bull Sound Select and Forecastle present Vintage Trouble at Zanzabar. Vintage Trouble is an American blues rock band that ormed in Hollywood in 2010. They have released one studio album, The Bomb Shelter Sessions (2011). Their sound has been described as "retro," reminiscent of the Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry and The Animals. Big Bad Oven and Anwar Sadat open.

    Moonpies and Moonshine at the Filson Historical Society

    This old-fashioned summer picnic in the historic setting of Oxmoor Farm includes a fried chicken dinner, moon pies, live music by Whistlin’ Rufus, educational information about the history of distilling, as well as dancing, and yard games. Limestone Branch Distillery is providing six of their signature moonshines for tasting, including their new Moon Pie Moonshine. Bourbon Historian Mike Veach will be on hand for a brief talk about moonshine’s place in Kentucky history.

    Second Life at KMAC

    Second Life explores nature, science, anatomy, craft and preservation through taxidermy and other uses of the vestiges of animate beings. Taxidermy from recent art history starting with the use of ornithological practices in the work of 19th century painter John James Audubon and the subsequent work of artists like Jochem Hendricks, Adam Fuss, and Damien Hirst will be displayed.

    Tap 'N' Run 4K at E. P. Tom Sawyer Park

    Outrageous costumes, beer chugging and foot racing will reign supreme as the Tap 'N' Run 4K returns to Louisville on Saturday, June 14th, at 2 pm. Tap 'N' Run 4K combines participants’ love of beer and running for a unique run/walk race totaling 2.4 miles. Participants are encouraged to dress in costumes and run with teams, friends and family of legal drinking age. A portion of the proceeds will benefit a local charity.

Auditions will be held Sunday for Proof at the Christian Health Center. Proof is the story of Catherine, a troubled young woman who has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own struggle with mathematical genius and mental illness, the arrival of her estranged sister and the attentions of a former student of her father's.
