Post-Forecastle blues are real, guys. Recover, hydrate and get out those festival outfits out again. Lots of live music and other sundry fun in Louisville this weekend! 

 

The late-night pop-up will transform The Cellar Lounge into a Cantina where botanas are plentiful and Mezcal flows all night alongside a soundtrack of West Coast and Southern Hip-Hop spun by DJ Ryan Rugger. In addition to the full bar menu, drink specials will include the Maized and Confused (mezcal, rye mash, corn, basil, salt, lime), $2 Mexican Beer, $3 Tequila Shots and The Cellar Lounge’s infamous “Five Dolla Holla” — a shot of bourbon and a can of beer for $5.

 

 

Singer Grace Potter comes to Louisville in this concert produced by Nederlander Entertainment and Production Simple. Potter has been the lead singer of the Nocturnals, a group known for the song "Paris (Ooh La La).”

 

 

Magician Richard E. Darshwood is at it again, muddling and befuddling for three solid hours behind the illustrious bar at St. Charles Exchange. Enjoy your drinks as the baffling and comedic Darshwood performs close-up illusions behind the bar. Come for the drinks. Stay for the magic.

 

 

Few artists are having a bigger year than pop music superstar, Ariana Grande. Ariana has become an unstoppable force in pop culture. Latin Superstar Prince Royce who recently debuted his first English single "Stuck on A Feeling" will be a special guest.

 

 

This weekend-long concert series is presented by Holy Carp Productions. On Friday, July 24: The Hot Wires, New Bravado, GRAFFIT, Dream Eye Color Wheel, and The "Family Dog" Fan Club will play. On Saturday, July 25 it’s The Wrists, Blackbirds of Paradise, Parlour, Broadfield Marchers, Kaleidico.

 

 

For the 40th consecutive year, the Kentucky Music Weekend folk festival brings together some of the finest folk musicians and Kentucky traditions at Louisville’s Iroquois Amphitheater and the tree-lined area nearby. Check the website for concert and event times. KMW will also host the Kentucky State Mountain and Hammered Dulcimer Championship contests during the Saturday daytime events.

Held year-round on the final Friday of every month from 6 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., this event draws thousands of people, who enjoy free trolley rides to participating shops, restaurants and galleries along the Frankfort, Mellwood and Story Avenue corridor.

Join us for an afternoon of Bluegrass music with Bluegrass River Band and Relic in historic downtown Corydon. Due to renovations on the Square, the Bluegrass concerts will take place on the north end of Elm Street on the east side of the square, fans and chairs will be set up on the street.

 

 

Where will you be when the mega powers of facial hair clash in Louisville? We hope at Whiskermania, the first charity facial hair competition in Louisville history presented by the Derby City Whisker Club. This event will bring together unmovable beards and unstoppable mustaches from all over the city, state, region, country and world to have facial hair judged in 13 different categories. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Active Heroes, a charity based right here in Louisville that helps active duty military, veterans and their families through physical and mental therapy, home repairs, community outreach and community reintegration to halt the trigger points of stress associated with "hard times" that lead to suicide. This event will also include food trucks, vendors, raffles and live performances from Slow Joe Crow & The Berserker Blues Band and Hoot Von Woot. This is a 21 and over event.

 

 

Bon Qui Qui is the alter ego of Mad TV’s Anjelah Johnson-Reyes. This original character arose from the Mad TV sketch “King Burger” and followed Johnson-Reyes’s stand-up routine, “Nail Salon,” which made her an internet sensation. After recording and releasing three songs and two music videos as Bon Qui Qui, Anjelah released debut album, Gold Plated Dreams. Bon Qui Qui recently teamed up with Benefit Cosmetics for her third music video, “This Is How We Do It (Benefit Remix).”
