    St. Patrick's Day at Goodwood Brewing

    In addition to hosting the Blessing of the Keg last week, Goodwood is throwing their own St. Paddy's Day party! They'll do a special release of their bourbon stout ‘Big Fella’ and Green Lager. Danny Flanagin will provide the music, and the Celtic Pig will be parked out front to provide traditional Irish food.

    WFPK Live Lunch: Dr. Dundiff & Otis Junior | Mayor's Gallery

    Come see your favorite local and touring artists perform live in the Mayor’s Gallery for WFPK's Live Lunch. This week, they're featuring Dr. Dundiff and Otis Junior! If you can’t make the performance in person, listen live at 91.9 WFPK Radio Louisville. This will serve as the warm-up for Dr. Dundiff and Otis's show at Headliners later in the day.

    As part of the 41st Humana Festival of New American Plays, Actors presents "Recent Alien Abductions." Álvaro is searching for a lost episode of The X-Files that he swears has been mysteriously altered since its original broadcast, but nobody believes him. Could the missing episode be proof of a larger conspiracy? A darkly compelling tale about the danger of having no one to trust—and how families, and nations, keep circling the places that haunt them.

    Norah Jones | Louisville Palace

    Louisville Chorus Presents: Celtic Voices | Beargrass Christian Church

    The Louisville Chorus is celebrating Celtic song and music with a performance the day after St. Patrick's Day. They will be joined by the Louisville Irish Dancers, the Hewn from the Mountain Celtic Band and the Beargrass Christian Church Choir. Tickets are $22 for general admission.

    Rodes City Run 10K | Downtown

    This will be the 37th running of the Rodes City Run 10K, which began in 1981, and the second leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running. The race was ranked the 4th largest overall race in the state by the 2014 Running USA rankings. It attracts nearly 7,000 runners and walkers and draws athletes from all over the country to compete in the heart of downtown Louisville.

    Wrapped in Red Gala | Louisville Marriott Downtown

    The Red Cross is excited to invite you to the 2017 Wrapped in Red Gala — celebrating 100 years of the Red Cross in Kentucky! The Wrapped in Red Gala is the signature event of the American Red Cross Louisville Area Chapter. The Gala has become one of Louisville’s premiere philanthropic events, serving up a specially prepared three-course dinner, live entertainment and a live auction.

    The Hot Brown Get Down | Headliners

    KMAC Artist Talk: Claire Sherman | KMAC

    Fern Canyon features a selection of drawings and paintings by artist 
    Claire Sherman, including the recent KMAC acquisition Tree, 2016.  The exhibition introduces Sherman’s innovative approach to a traditional genre, displaying her patent perspectives on contemporary landscape painting. Riotous representations of nature blur into abstraction as moss covered tree limbs, tangled branches, and rock-strewn caves combine with Sherman’s urgent brushstrokes and bold warps of color, scale and environmental perception.

    Speed Cinema Presents: The Salesman (Forushande) | Speed Art Museum

    After their apartment becomes uninhabitable, a young married couple in Tehran are forced to take a new place in a less than desirable neighborhood. Once relocated, a sudden act of violence linked to the previous tenant deeply affects the couple’s relationship, creating tension which tests their expectations of each other. The Salesman (Forushande) was winner of Best Screenplay and Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the Best Foreign Film Oscar.
