As long as I can remember I’ve been singing along to the radio. I might not always sing the right words, but rest assured I belt them out anyway. When a song comes on that Weird Al has parodied, however, I have to sing his silly version.

Throughout so many years, Weird Al has been a staple of American life, poking fun at everyone from New Kids on the Block with “The White Stuff” to The Backstreet Boys with “eBay song.” He even tackled rap by making a parody of Coolio’s “Gangsta Paradise” called “Amish Paradise.” More recently, Weird Al took on the ever-popular “Happy” by Pharrell making it “Tacky.” Weird Al is an extremely talented musician and comedian, and Louisville has a chance to see him in concert next week.

On Wednesday, June 24th, Weird Al will perform at the Louisville Palace Theater. The concert starts at 7:30pm. Tickets range in price from $25-$75. For more information about the show, visit www.louisvillepalace.com. Weird Al’s official website is weirdal.com.
