After losing to Marquette in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament, the University of Louisville Men's soccer team was named the 10th overall seed in the 48 team NCAA tournament Monday afternoon. They will receive a bye, and host a second round match at 7:00 PM Sunday at Cardinal Park against the winner of a first round match between Winthrop and Southern Methodist University. The bracket sets up a possible rematch with Marquette in the 3rd round.

The Cards are one of five Big East teams receiving overall seeds, headlined by Big East tournament champion and overall top seed Notre Dame. Georgetown (#3), Connecticut (#4) and Marquette (#7) join Syracuse, South Florida, and St. Johns to make up the Big East contingent. The University of Kentucky also made the field and will host Xavier on Thursday night, with the winner moving on to play #16 seed Indiana University on Sunday.
