The Underground Station, a new, up-and-coming courtyard of local businesses in New Albany, IN, hosted a Courtyard Cookout on Saturday, September 5. The cookout ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offered free services and specials from the local businesses, free food and drinks, and a selection of antiques to add to your collection. Guests also had the opportunity to chat with the business owners about what the future holds for The Underground Station. The hot dogs, chips and water were very much needed on an afternoon that felt like a sweltering 100+ degrees.
Rachel Searcy of New Albany Massage Therapeutics
Rachel Searcy, owner of New Albany Massage Therapeutics, was treating guests to a free mini-massage. “I love New Albany, and I’m really excited to be a part of the local business owners,” she says. “They're all really good at supporting each other.” The New Albany community is also great at supporting their local business owners—both Rachel and Underground Classic Cuts saw a steady stream of patrons who were all eager to show their support.
New Albany Massage Therapeutics is currently located at 720 Rolling Creek Drive Suite 104, New Albany, IN 47150. The move to The Underground Station is expected to happen sometime this month, September 2015. The Underground Station is creating a space that’s completely customized for Rachel and New Albany Massage Therapeutics’ needs. The space will feature a reception desk made from reclaimed wood, two massage rooms and a loft space, open to the waiting room, that will be perfect for Rachel’s office.
Customers to both New Albany Massage Therapeutics and Underground Classic Cuts can expect package deals for both businesses’ services. That’s right. You will be able to get a trim and massage without feeling guilty of overindulgence! And, once Bread & Breakfast completes their move and introduces their new dinner and drinks menu, you’ll never have to leave the courtyard!
If you didn’t make it to the Courtyard Cookout, you should still drop by and check out the area. They'll be sure to have more events in the future, too. And we’ll keep you up to date as businesses like New Albany Massage Therapeutics and Bread & Breakfast open in the courtyard.
