This Thursday, November 11, 2010, PWG Social will host their first annual Trousseau A GO-GO fundraiser for Blessings in a Backpack at 21C Museum Hotel. PWG Social is an extension of Louisville's Perfect Wedding Guide that is now focusing more on social and charitable events. As everyone should know by now, 21C is the #1 hotel in the United States according to Conde Nast, for the 2nd year in a row.
The event kicks off at 7pm and will feature Louisville's own Heather Yenawine with Hay DJ. The music will be a homage to 60's psychedelic roc, 70's French pop and girl groups. For additional texture, they'll be incorporating modern tracks reminiscent of the go-go theme.
For additional enjoyment, there will be a fashion show and an event designer challenge. The challenge is an decorating duel between Events LLC and The Event Company...only one will be left standing.
The ultimate attraction is the full stocked silent auction with all proceeds going to Blessings in a Backpack. The organization is designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federal free and reduced meal programs, and may not have any or enough food on the weekends. $80 feeds a child in the program for an entire school year! Every Friday, students receive their backpacks with stapes that require little to no preparation. They return with their backpacks on Monday ready to learn!
So come join in the fun and bid on items to help the kids. You'll feel better and get great stuff in the mean time! Tickets are limited, but still available. Don't expect any to be at the door.
