Trends From Fashion Week SS13: Prints Galore [Fashion]
    Print this page

From the runways of Louisville's Best Dressed to those of London, the Spring/Summer 2013 fashion week season promises many interesting ideas to consider for your closet in the coming months, along with trends that have stayed with us for the past few trips down the catwalk. Allow me to guide you, dear readers, through the backstage racks as I pull out a few pieces for your perusal this season.

Prints. Leopard, snakeskin, polka dot, even full-on tapestries… no matter what printed fabrics you enjoy, you will be happy to know that this long-runner is going strong into autumn, returning to the runways of the upcoming spring/summer fashion season. The new trend coming down the catwalks from New York to Paris, though, is mixing differing prints from head to toe, as seen on this model -- mixing houndstooth with the floral pattern from a can of Arizona Green Tea -- from the Nanette Lepore show at New York Fashion Week.

For example, you could opt for a houndstooth blazer with a floral maxi dress, a snakeskin top over a geometric skirt, or a pair of tapestry pants mixed with a polka dot blouse. The point here is simply to have fun with any and every printed piece you happen to come across.

Would you like to own what the model is wearing when the spring and summer pieces arrive in March of 2013? Look no further than Rodes, who just so happens to carry Nanette Lepore. If you desire to seek out these pieces -- or any printed piece from your favorite labels of choice -- for a song, Sunny Daize is your best bet.

As always, should this trend be not for you, fear not: Dressing for your body is more important than any trend, no matter who says otherwise.
