Folk rock band the Avett Brothers will be hitting the Louisville Palace this weekend with a three-night stay the promises to be everything a fan could hope for and more. Coming off last week's Austin City Limits Music Festival, the Avett Brothers should provide one of their famously lively and high-spirited performances.
This isn't the first extended stay for the Avett Brothers (made up of frontmen and real-life brothers Scott and Seth Avett, along with bass player Bob Crawford and cellist Joe Kwon); earlier this year, the band performed a three-night show in Red Rocks, CO, and another in Las Vegas, NV. Concert-goers should expect three distinct performances from the group, who promise that each night will be a completely different show. This is great news for those who purchased three-night packages for the event: with eight full albums, four LPS and a catalogue of 146 songs, fans will be hard-pressed to find a repeat.
Their latest album, last year’s Magpie and the Dandelion, sold 58,000 copies in the first week and peaked at #5 on the Billboard charts.
Tickets for Thursday’s show are still available through the band’s website , while those for the 17th and 18th are sold out.
