A tale of two souls intertwined through life takes place in Gruesome Playground Injuries, a Theatre 502 show that opens on Friday.

Gruesome Playground Injuries will take place on Aug. 3, 4, 6, 10, and 11 at 8 p.m. each night.  All performances are to happen in the Victor Jory Theatre at Actors Theatre, located at 316 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $15 per person.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or reserved in advance by e-mailing info@theatre502.org.  More information on the show can be found at the Theatre 502 website.

Love hurts sometimes, as it does in Gruesome Playground Injuries.  Kayleen and Doug have been through life's trials and tribulations since their schoolyard days.  As they approach middle age, however, they remain uncertain about what life direction to take.  Love, however, has an interesting way of connecting two people.

Rajiv Joseph created Gruesome Playground Injuries, which Gil D. Reyes directed.  Leah Roberts starts as Kayleen, and Mike Brooks stars as Doug.

Following Gruesome Playground Injuries, Theatre 502 will present The Aliens.  The Brooks-directed production will take place in October.
