With over 10,000 people expected to use TARC for Thunder Over Louisville transportation, the transportation authority in Louisville announced its plans for the event.  Because of the special TARC services running before and after the event on April 12, passengers are encouraged to know their stops ahead of time.

For the Thunder special service, the TARC fare for adults is $1.75 and 80 cents for passengers over 65, passengers with disabilities, and passengers between the ages of 6-17.  Children under the age of 5 ride free.  University of Louisville students ride free with a valid UofL student ID.

Post-Thunder boarding of TARC buses will be restricted to five locations surrounding the Waterfront area.  Buses will operate until 11 p.m.  These locations are Sixth Street near Chestnut, on First at Muhammad Ali, on Liberty near Floyd, and on Market near Floyd.

Starting at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday buses will be added to downtown routes to accommodate the extra activity downtown.

Because the Clark Memorial Bridge will remain closed until about 2 p.m. on Sunday, TARC buses on route No. 71 to Jeffersonville and route No. 72 to Clarksville will not make return trips to Indiana after Thunder over Louisville.
