In a world where breakfast has been forgotten as the most important meal of the day and has become a platter of not-so-healthy meals made in a hurry, one man has taken it upon himself to rescue us all from the repetitive breakfast norm. Introducing Super Chef Darnell Ferguson and his new hero-worthy restaurant, SuperChefs!

What first began as the breakfast offerings of Brownsboro Road’s Chicago Gyros has grown into its very own restaurant of monstrous proportions! With opening the first Louisville SuperChefs location in St. Matthews this month, Chef Ferguson is officially expanding his delicious breakfast menu  to an all-day event featuring menus for three full out-of-this-world meals.

“Fans of our breakfast and lunch won’t be disappointed,” Chef Ferguson says about the menu for his new restaurant. “All the favorites are still on the menu but we look forward to showing our guests a different side of dinner with some of the characteristic SuperChef touches they’ve come to expect from us.”

And from the looks of their menu, showing a different side to dinner is just what SuperChefs is serving up. In classic superhero comic book fashion, the unique new restaurant is offering up both a “Civilian” menu and a “Superhero” menu. On the “Civilian” menu, guests will find items listed under hero’s civilian names, like the Bruce Banner, which features filet mignon with a side of vegetables. This dish’s “Superhero” version is called the “Incredible Hulk” and features an inventive meatloaf cupcake with candied bacon sprinkles. There’s no need for picky eaters to Hulk out over this restaurant, both menus sound absolutely delicious!

Along with two super menus and a full bar, SuperChefs is also offering a new kind of dining experience with its “Chef’s Table.” Guests seated at the Chef’s Table will have the opportunity to explain what they love about their favorite meals to chef Ferguson and allow him to serve them up with his own unique spin. Reservations are required for the Chef’s Table and can be made by calling (502)333-0620.

SuperChefs is located at 106 Fairfax Avenue and is now open Monday – Thursday from 7am – 9pm and Friday – Saturday from 7am – 10:30pm. For more information on this new restaurant, visit its website
