In celebration of the merger between two schools, St. Francis alumni will convene for performances of Godspell beginning tonight.

Performances will take place on Aug. 9, 10, 23, and 25 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  All performances are to happen in the Baron's Theatre at Whiskey Row Lofts, located at 131 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.  Tickets for each show are $10 per person and can be purchased by calling 502-795-3380.

Godspell features a gathering of ordinary people meeting and, at first, discussing favorite quotations from favorite thinker.  However, during the course of the musical, which combines hymns with modern music, John the Baptist and then Jesus will lead the group through the parables detailing Jesus's life on earth.  The group figures out the difference between their own worldly lives and another life they could have.

The performance is being held as part of a celebration for St. Francis, which recently merged its downtown campus with the Goshen/Harrods Creek campus.  More information on St. Francis can be found at its website.
