Now, it might seem strange for me, a guy who generarely wears old band t-shirts with mustard stains all over them when left to my own devices would give a fashion update. Which might be fair, but then again it might also be fair to say that the Fashion Police are generally out of their minds. What’s my point? I really don’t know, where was I going with this?

Ah yes, recently a number of area teams have been making news for their uniform changes. And, this has to begin and end with the University of Louisville men’s basketball team. Who, despite reaching the final four in last year’s NCAA tournament, sported a fluorescent jersey with names and numbers written in a color that could only be described as incredibly loud orange, they along with several other schools went through test jerseys made by the Adidas company.

Well, those days are over, as the Cards recently revealed their new jerseys that uses standard colors, there were actually a few minor variations as well including some accents of black but all in all, they’ve gone back to Earth jerseys which is positive. However, Louisville fans have to at least morally like the space orange jerseys, as they went 8-1 while wearing them.

In other Cards b-ball news everybody’s favorite NCAA basketball blow hard, Dick Vitale, recently picked the Cards to go all the way in the upcoming season winning the NCAA National Championship, of course Vitale went on to note that Indiana also has a chance to cut the net, and Kentucky has the potential to repeat.

    About Dave Rose

Recently, I completed a Masters degree in Education and have been writing for Louisville.com for over a year now, prior to that I published a humor book for young adults titled Wearing Socks with Sandals, a book about getting through high school, college, and all of the requisite problems that present themselves during that time. Currently, I spend much of my time in classroom settings as well as writing in various areas. Of course, I’m a big sports fan and love music and film, and love finding new stuff around Louisville.
