Saving a town comes down to five sisters and their wacky plans in Southern Hospitality, which opens at Little Colonel Playhouse this weekend.
Southern Hospitality will take place on Oct. 3, 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 8 p.m. each night. Matinee shows are to happen on Oct. 6 and 13 at 2:30 p.m. All performances are to happen at Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mount Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley, KY.
Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 60 and over, and $12 for students. Due to limited seating, reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling Little Colonel Playhouse at 502-588-1557. Keep in mind that Little Colonel Playhouse does not accept any credit cards.
Southern Hospitality features Fayro, TX, a city that is amount to literally be removed from the map. A plant and the local Smart Mart have closed, and people have left the town in huge numbers.
Enter the five Futrelle Sisters. After learning that a salsa plant needed a new home, the sisters spring into action in hopes of enticing that company to settle in Fayro. The sisters create "Faygo Days" complete with a craft show, a beauty pageant, and a Civil War reenactment. All with the entire town's residents of 15 people.
Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten created Southern Hospitality. Jeff Mangum directed the production for Little Colonel Playhouse.
