Little Colonel Playhouse gets set to present classic and soon-to-be-classic shows for its 2014-15 theater season.

During the season, Little Colonel Playhouse will present five shows: Black Tie (October), Critic's Choice (December), The Spider or the Fly (February 2015), Our Town (April 2015), and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress (June 2015). All shows will take place at Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mt. Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley, KY.

Season tickets are available now and are $60 for adults, $50 for senior citizens, and $50 for students high school age and under. More information on how to purchase season tickets can be found at the Little Colonel Playhouse website.

Little Colonel Playhouse will open its season with Black Tie, featuring the father of the groom having to balance the traditions of his past with realities of his new family. That production will run Oct. 3-12, and auditions for the show are Aug. 17 and 18 at Little Colonel.

A play, literally called Critic's Choice, will follow in December. In the production, a theater critic's wife creates a play that is horrible, and the critic must review it. Enjoy the tension Dec. 5-14.

Coming in the new year is The Spider or the Fly, featuring two concurrent stories - a couple who meet on jury duty and another couple with a more unique relationship - that are related to the same murder trial. This production will happen from Feb. 13-22.

Heading into spring, Little Colonel will present Our Town. Considered by some critics to be one of the best plays ever written, Our Town focuses on three stages of life: daily life, love and marriage, and death, utilizing minimal props and sets. Our Town goes on Apr. 17-26.

Finally, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress will grace the Little Colonel stage. This comedy focuses on five bridesmaids of different backgrounds find themselves not wanting to be involved in a wedding. See if they make it to the ceremony June 5-14.

More information on the season can be found at the Little Colonel Playhouse website.
