Owner Taylor Stowe opened Black Salt in December 2011. Always a lover of fashion, especially fashion that's not quite so easily available in Louisville brought her to the decision to open the shop. Tucked away on the one of the busiest intersections of Bardstown Road her business has grown leaps and bounds over the last year. As well as selling in store she also sells directly on her website, offering her great taste and aesthetic to more than just the commonwealth.
Thanks to the love of the Louisville natives as well as her online community Taylor is expanding her selection to include more home goods, skin care, and accessories. Her two most popular brands include LA based label UNIF and Australian brand Evil Twin. Fellas you did however miss the boat on her men's clothing if you're just now finding out about the shop. She no longer carries men's merchandise in store, but UNIF mostly comes unisex and several styles can be sported by both sexes. Ladies you've got all the luck around town! If you've not made it into Black Salt yet, I recommend doing so before you hit the town this weekend. You're guaranteed to have a look no one else around is sporting.
Taylor does all the buying, styling, photography and modeling for Black Salt. As well as all the social media, answering all your emails and questions, packaging up orders, and she's always the one behind the register at the shop in Louisville.
