Ride into space to solve an out-of-this-world murder in Murder on the Alien Express, which Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater will open on Saturday.
Murder on the Alien Express will take place each Saturday from May 9-June 13 at 7 p.m. each night. All performances are to go on at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 2735 Crittenden Drive in Louisville.
Tickets for each show, which include dinner, show, tax, and gratuity, are $45.50 per person. Reservations in advance are strongly recommended as shows have previously sold out. All reservations can be made by calling Whodunnit at 502-426-7100. When ordering tickets, audience members will also make their choice of dinner entree, which are: baked salmon, beef stroganoff, or portobello parmesan.
Murder on the Alien Express is an intergalactic premiere from Whodunnit that features a luxury ship traveling with the galaxy's biggest celebrities on board. As they mingle, dine, and dance their way through the trip, someone, or something, tries to make sure their destination is not reached. It's up to the audience to figure out the murderer.
During the show, suspects will perform a scene full of possible clues. After each scene, the suspects will walk among the tables to answer questions from the audience members. Suspects will respond with the truth or evade the question. The only the suspects are allowed to lie is when they are asked if they committed the murder. That answer will be no.
A.S. Waterman created Murder on the Alien Express, which Beth Olliges directed for Whodunnit. The Alien Express cast features Penny Brill, Ron Brumleve, Erica Goldsmith, Shelly Marquart Reid, Ben Rogers, and Niles Welch.
Murder on the Alien Express is the last show for Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater's 2014-15 season. Auditions for the upcoming season will take place during the summer. More information on Alien Express and the upcoming season can be found at the Whodunnit website.
