On the corner of Logan and Oak, in the heart of Germantown, Smoketown USA Barbeque has been cranking out good eats for close to three years. The building that it's in was originally built in 1862, and when owners, Eric David Gould and his wife purchased it back in 2002 they immediately began restoring the place, and readying it for all the great things that they would later produce for the surrounding community. Conveniently located between the Highlands, Germantown, and Downtown, the civil war era building that Smoketown USA is in once housed a grocery, feed and seed, and a livery.
Serving anything from barbeque to pintos, ribs to smoked seafood, Smoketown is doing it. I can remember first hearing about this place, just shortly after they originally opened, and to this day it's still nothing but a good buzz that's being thrown my way. Succulent barbeque and ribs that fall from the bone, green beans like momma used to make, and cornbread like light fluffy heaven make this joint a must hit spot. Smoketown also offers a full range of catering services, everything from delicious smoked barbeque buffets to box lunches for corporate events, meetings, and outings.
