Roux hasn't been around for that long, so a big menu change is a bit of a bold move. Still, perfecting what is currently offered at the Bardstown Road restaurant is Dustin Staggers' favorite thing to do, apparently. Today, Roux released a new menu, which you can check out here:
One thing that stands out about this new menu? Lots and lots of fish. "We have the capacity to get incredibly fresh fish in this town," explains Staggers "So I don't know why more people don't take advantage of that." One such example is the monkfish tail, wrapped in country ham and served with a Creole soft boiled egg, pictured.
While we're talking Dustin Staggers, it's worth noting that the Ten Tables concept he's pioneered (along with Eric Morris, of Loop 22 and Griffin Paulin, of Rumplings) has gathered almost a thousand "likes" on the Facebook Page, which for the time being is the only place from which names will be pulled for the lottery-style reservations. The first 10 Tables dinner will take place on January 19 2015, and don't even try to get a reservation, because 744+ people tried to get one of maximum 40 spots. You can, however, try to get your name in for another one of the ten tables dinners.
