Roux [4] hasn't been around for that long, so a big menu change is a bit of a bold move. Still, perfecting what is currently offered at the Bardstown Road restaurant is Dustin Staggers' favorite thing to do, apparently. Today, Roux released a new menu, which you can check out here:
One thing that stands out about this new menu? Lots and lots of fish. "We have the capacity to get incredibly fresh fish in this town," explains Staggers "So I don't know why more people don't take advantage of that." One such example is the monkfish tail, wrapped in country ham and served with a Creole soft boiled egg, pictured.
While we're talking Dustin Staggers, it's worth noting that the Ten Tables concept [5] he's pioneered (along with Eric Morris, of Loop 22 and Griffin Paulin, of Rumplings) has gathered almost a thousand "likes" on the Facebook Page, which for the time being is the only place from which names will be pulled for the lottery-style reservations. The first 10 Tables dinner will take place on January 19 2015, and don't even try to get a reservation, because 744+ people tried to get one of maximum 40 spots. You can, however, try to get your name in for another one of the ten tables dinners [5].
