Do the time warp and fight cancer during Acting Against Cancer's production of The Rocky Horror Show this weekend.
The Rocky Horror Show will go on Sept. 26, 27, 29, Oct. 3, and 4 at 8 p.m. each night. Matinees are to happen on Sept. 27, 28, and Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. each day. All performances will go on at the Henry Clay Theatre, located in the Henry Clay Building at 604 S. Third Street in Old Louisville.
Tickets are $19 per person and can be purchased at the door or the Acting Against Cancer website. Keep in mind the show is recommended for those 14 and up.
The Rocky Horror Show finds lovers Brad and Janet having car trouble and are forced to seek help at the castle of Dr. Frank-n-furter. Instead of help, they find themselves at the mercy of the doctor, his discovery about life, and his creatures. Along the way, they also deal with seduction, doing the time warp, and a plot to take over the time castle and head to the planet Transsexual.
All of the profits from this Acting Against Cancer show will benefit an art therapy program in the pediatric oncology at Kosair Children's Hospital.
Following The Rocky Horror Show, Acting Against Cancer will present Next to Normal. That show will happen in January.
