Hot dog! Wanda Jackson, the “Queen of Rockabilly,” will appear this coming Thursday, March 24 at ear X-tacy, 2226 Bardstown Road in the Highlands. From 6 to 7 p.m. she will meet fans and sign autographs before heading over to Headliners for a show with The Ladybirds and The Dex Romweber Duo. Her latest record, The Party Ain't Over, was produced by Jack White for his Third Man Records label.

Jackson enjoyed a string of rockabilly hits in the 1950s and 1960s, touring with (and even dating) Elvis in their early days—and hasn’t stopped since. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 as an “early influencer.”

Although the Headliners gig is 18 and over, the ear X-tacy appearance is free and for all ages. Ear X-tacy has tickets available for the concert, $17 each or $20 the day of the show.
