If you don't know who Riff Raff is, your life is sadly lacking in entertainment. Most recently famous for his brief relationship with Katy Perry, the highlight of which was this tribute to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, Riff Raff is a rapper who's been steadily growing in popularity. Aside from his connections to Perry, Riff Raff has had a quick rise to fame, jumping into music just four years ago. Now, he's collaborating with the likes of Diplo (his producer and the guy who signed him to his current record label), Mac Miller, Paul Wall, Mike Posner and Childish Gambino.

Thursday night was packed - Riff Raff's tour has been selling out shows all over the U.S. A crowd largely made up of 18-25 year olds pushed to the stage, creating a veritable sardine can. As the night went on and Riff Raff's appearance got closer and closer - through performances by Elephant Room, DJ Kittie and Chanel West Coast - the crowd packed in tighter and tighter, hot and sweaty and hyped up.

Riff Raff ran onto stage with the Neon Pythons, launching straight into their first song. Immediately bombarded by screaming fans, Riff Raff joked that he was about to have a "Versace anxiety attack." The energy was high and the performance erratic - posters of Hulk Hogan (who's been helping Riff Raff bulk up) appeared on stage, the Neon Pythons threw money into the crowd and Riff Raff yelled at the lighting engineers halfway through the show, instructing them on which lights to use; he wanted to be the "ultraviolet icon." Louie the Cardinal showed up a while after someone on stage mentioned that Riff Raff was a UK fan, a proclamation that was met with a huge boo from the crowd.

Check out the slideshow to get the feel of one of the most high energy, insane shows to pass through Louisville in a while.
